About this route
A varied walk of more than 13 kilometres in and around Giethoorn. You walk past the small lake Bovenwijde and along the famous Dorpsgracht canal with its historic buildings.
Along the way you pass through the hamlets of De Klosse, Roekebosch and Zuideinde, and past the Bakker windmill, museum De Oude Aarde and Museum Giethoorn 't Olde Maat Uus. The route runs through Weerribben-Wieden National Park.
Allow about three hours of walking, plus time for a break along the way.
